I have to be weary of what time I let my dogs out in the backyard (and I’m not going to get started on the amount of litter I come across in the yard everyday).
Kids don’t think ahead very well.
I have two dogs that like to bark and go up to people and, basically, radiate love and even more love. However, one of my dogs is a glorified guard dog and the other plays pretty rough (uses teeth, which is our fault, yes) when he gets excited. So these children get out of school and walk by my house, either in front, where the dogs are still able to be seen, and they spread their litter everywhere (grrr) or in the back alley, that follows the fence in my backyard.
Some like to poke my dogs with sticks or generally harass them or open the gate to our backyard. If my dogs get defensive and start barking (which they do) and start growling or biting, then my mother and I get to field angry words from the parents across the street or wherever. We’re scared for if they ever bite because then we would be in trouble even though the idiot children are the ones sticking their hands into the fence and throwing sticks or rocks ( :P )
But there are others that are pleasant, say hi or give them food and then keep on going. They’re nice little angel children.
For the last half hour, my dogs have been pestering me to let them out but there are still kids being let out of school right now and I’m too scared. :L
